This guy was so rich, he could have bought America and still had enough money left over to buy every company in the world
(HOOK) and support his 6 wives.
(UNEXPECTED)
He owned a thousand castles, 300,000 horses
(DELIVER), and 3 million Bugattis worth of gold and diamonds.
(UNEXPECTED)
But most of his wealth actually came from something else.
(HOOK)
This guy owned countries. He built the largest contiguous empire ever and ruled 30% of the world.
(DELIVER VALUE)
And with a net worth of 120 trillion, this is Genghis Khan.

Hoverboards used to be a real thing
(HOOK), but then China got their hands on it and it collapsed the entire industry.
(UNEXPECTED)
These toys became super popular when celebrities started using them and everyone wanted one.
But here’s where it took a dark turn.
(UNEXPECTED)
With extremely high demand for the product, companies started cutting corners and making them cheaper and cheaper. A $1000 toy could now be bought for $20
(DELIVER) and that’s where things started to go wrong.
(UNEXPECTED)
Tens of thousands of people were hospitalized by hoverboards catching on fire, breaking, or simply running out of battery at high speeds.
(DELIVER)
And after being banned in most public places, the liability was too high and companies just stopped making them.

This pink razor costs 15% more than this blue one. And these earplugs cost 27% more than the blue ones.
(HOOK)
I mean, like, literally, they are the exact same.
(UNEXPECTED)
This is called the pink tax, where companies upcharge women, and it’s not illegal.
(DELIVER)
And companies justify this by saying that the product targeted towards women can have different advertising costs, product sizes, and packaging types.
(DELIVER)
But don’t worry ladies, or the 7% of you watching,
(UNEXPECTED) because at least when it comes to car insurance, females on average pay 5% less than men since they’re seen as less aggressive.

Respond to comments:
Look at your competitor’s video and make content based on what their audience thinks.
Script Breakdown:
This marketing strategy manipulates you every day, and most people don’t even know about it.
(SAME HOOK)
Remember the marketing hype around Barbie and Oppenheimer?
People were fighting over which they would see first.
They were so distracted they didn’t even notice what the advertisers were doing.
(UNEXPECTED)
See, if just Barbie was in theaters, there may have been 100,000 people on opening day.
And if just Oppenhiemer was in theaters, there may have been 100,000 people on opening day.
And it sounds counter-intuitive
(UNEXPECTED), but since both came out on the same day, the question was not whether or not you would go to the movies, but rather which movie you were going to.
(DELIVER)
And since people were already there, why not watch both. Leading to both having opening day sales of over 200,000 tickets.

And if you want more marketing breakdowns hit follow.

Re-writing a script to make it more viral
Original: 42,000 views
I pay my employees more than double what my competitors are paying them.
(Preachy – Too much of an “expert”) This way I get the best employees. They’re all brought into my business and my employees can actually live off what they’re getting paid.
(Redundant)
They can afford to go buy houses. They can afford to support their families. They can afford to have a decent vehicle.
(better storytelling)
And the only reason I’m able to do that is because we actually charge the customer enough to be able to pay our employees. Well, most plumbers are doing the opposite. They’re discounting their customer just to screw over their employees. And I don’t think that’s right.
Revised: 1.1 Million views
Ever since I started paying my employees double, my business blew up.
(HOOK: Swapped for “experience / observation” I did X, unexpected Y happened)
I started just doubling what my competitors pay their plumbers, they pay $20 so I would pay $40. All of a sudden my employees can buy a decent car, they can support their family, they can buy a house. I wonder why my employees are happy all of a sudden? I wonder why they started working harder and complaining less.
Lean into storytelling – prompt emotional response in comments.
“I wish more people did this”
“I would never complain again if my boss doubled my pay”
“no duhh they work harder – they get twice as much!
And my competitors are given the worst handicap.
(UNEXPECTED BENEFIT – less competition)
Of course they can’t get employees as good as mine, they can only spend half as much. It’s impossible for them to compete with me.

Script Breakdown:
He spent 15 minutes under her sink, came out from under, and charged her $300.
So in this video, the lady was upset that a plumber came out, fixed her issue in 15 minutes, and charged her $300.
(Hook)
She felt it was unfair because that means a plumber is making an effective $1,200 an hour.
But she wasn’t paying for just the 15 minutes, she was paying for the years of experience it took to learn to do what he did.
She paid for the call out, she paid for the truck and the gas, she paid for the tools, she paid for the insurance, then she also paid for his time.
And because of all this, he was able to charge $300 for 15 minutes of work.

Niche Response Videos
- Turn followers into clients
- Specific education
- Social proof
- Polarizing them vs us
- Permission to talk as an expert about ANYTHING
- Enter a conversation you otherwise wouldn’t be able to with authority (expert vs observation)
- Lower stakes to optimize for reach because it’s tied to an already-viral video
- Lean into value
- Still make it a good video!
- Doesn’t have to to be low reach – does have to be specific

Script Breakdown:
My neighbor is a plumber, he said $300 for 15 minutes of work is a ripoff.
Your neighbor doesn’t understand the cost of doing business. Let’s break it down for him.
(HOOK)
3 vans, 3 employees, 1 lady to answer phones, shop rent, shop utilities, business insurance, phone bills, software, office supplies, the list goes on.
Costs about $1 million per year to operate. With 3 guys out in the field, they work 6000 hours a year, but they only bill out 55% of those hours, for a total of 3300 billable hours.
That puts their cost per hour at $303 per hour just to break even. Add 25% profit margin, and they need to bill out at 404 per hour, pay all their expenses, and make a profit.
(EXPERT / EDUCATION)
Any less, and the plumber is the 1 getting ripped off.

Niche response doesn’t have to mean it will get no views!
Script Breakdown:
I’m getting a ton of questions about how expensive is it to maintain my $5 million hundred foot yacht
(HOOK) in Miami, Florida? Let’s get right into it.
The rest is all Entertainment – Expert on these costs creates social proof – hard to make this up
First, I had to buy the yacht. I put about $2.5 million down on a $5 million purchase price. My payment is a little over $20,000 per month.
After I bought Circe, I had to find a place to dock her. The best marina in Miami charges around $25,000 per month. As you can see there, first month, last month and security deposit was a little under $75,000.
Let’s get it. Then of course, we got to fuel her up. Her fuel capacity is right at 2,500 gallons. Multiply that by about $6 a gallon at the dock, you’re about $15,000 to fill up her tanks.
And you can’t have a $5 million boat without insurance. As you can see here, the annual premium is right at $62,000 per year. I also need to pay for a hurricane plan, meaning if a name storm comes barreling through Miami, Florida, I need to move my boat up north to be safe.
Well, where do you put it? Well, you have to rent a slip for 6 months during hurricane season for $8,000 a month or $48,000 per season.
I also have a full-time captain, a full-time engineer and a deckhand. That’s another $200,000 per year just in crew costs and then probably another $20,000 a year.

Have I ever evicted a single mother out of 1 of my properties? Oh yes! On multiple occasions.
(HOOK) Guys, there’s nobody protected in my portfolio. The elderly, the disabled, the single moms.
(UNEXPECTED)
And this is why. I’m buying in secondary and tertiary markets.
(EXPERT / EDUCATION) These are small places. If I start giving passes to single mom with 3 kids, guess what? They start telling their neighbors, oh yeah, Tom doesn’t enforce his own policies. Oh yeah, you can pay Tom’s rent late.
And before you know it, the entire community that you’re renting Section 8 in doesn’t respect you as a landlord or as an investor, and you’re never gonna get your rent on time from any of these people.
Case in point, about 3 months ago, I get a call from my property manager. Hey, Mr. Tom, I got a tenant here, Ms. Carla. Ms. Carla, if you’re watching this, sorry, I’m not sorry. She hasn’t paid her rent in 2 months. We’ve given her multiple warnings. What do you want to do?
(EXPERIENCE)
So I went back, look at her records. And sure enough, we’ve offered her to buy her cash for keys to be able to get her out of the property in exchange for money and her security deposit back she stopped responding. We sent her an eviction notice 3 weeks later, $200 in legal fees and she’s out on her ass.

Everybody wants to know, so here’s the ultimate flight hack that you need to be using.
(HOOK)
This site is so good, United Airlines sued them and lost for providing flights that the airlines didn’t want you to see.
(UNEXPECTED)
Skip lagged.
Skip lag shows you hidden city airfare. A.K.A. You book a multi-stop itinerary, but don’t take the whole trip.
In this example, I wanted to take a flight from the New York City area to Dallas, but the cheapest option was actually to fly from Newark all the way to Vegas and just not take the back half of the trip.
When the plane lands in Dallas, just get off the plane and leave the airport. Follow me for more money hacks.

This is a video I’m making for Avante,
(Permission to make the video – granted. Everyone else can sit on the sidelines and watch if they want.) the young man who was working 2 jobs with a one-year-old who’s struggling and said he was sick and tired of being poor and didn’t know how to get out. I didn’t have time to answer you when I was walking, but I wanted to take this minute to give you a longer answer.
…8 minute video – well worth the watch.
- With thousands of others – “here is what I would do if I was broke” – videos this one ACTUALLY WORKS.
- Alex asked permission, the advice was very specific, and flying private while making the video (never addressed) gave social proof without sounding arrogant.
- Pay attention to the passion of the delivery – this would be strange without the context of him talking to a single person – but it is why this video works so well.
